Dan

Dan Hovestol, OHCC Athletic Director

Dan Hovestol has worked at Oak Hills Christian College since 1990 in a variety of positions and has served as the Athletic Director since OHCC first introduced athletics in 1997. In addition, he spent 10 years serving as the men’s head basketball coach (1997-2007). As Coach, he guided the Wolfpack to four Conference Championships (1998, 2000, 2005, 2006) and an ACCA National Title (2006).

Dan is originally from Williams Bay, Wisconsin, and is a graduate of Bemidji State University. His interests include spending time with family, sports, traveling, hanging out with students, and supporting all Wisconsin sports teams (in addition to OHCC teams). Dan has been married to his wife, Gwenn, for 21 years and has three children (Bryanna (19), Benjamin (17) and Alyssa (15).

Dan has a love for students and hopes his life resembles what is described in Psalm 19:14, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.”

As a Christian college, our focus is to honor Christ in all we do. We do not promote a “win-at-all-cost” mentality. Our athletic program values teamwork and good sportsmanship, as well as athletic achievement. Students are encouraged to demonstrate the love of God to both their teammates and competitors.
