Admission Requirements

Oak Hills Christian College is an interdenominational Christian college that welcomes all applicants who are personally committed to faith in Jesus Christ regardless of race, gender, age, physical ability, and national or ethnic origin.

ADMISSION TYPES
Regular Admission:  Applicants who meet at least one of
these criteria will be considered for Regular Admission.
1. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher based on high school or
college transcripts
2. ACT composite score of 20 or higher

Conditional Admission:  Applicants who meet these
criteria will be considered for Conditional Admission.
1. Cumulative GPA of 1.50-2.49 based on high school or
college transcripts
2. ACT composite score of 14-19
All Conditional Admission students will be enrolled in the
Assisted Learning Program.

Provisional Admission: All transcripts and the ACT score (if
needed) must be received before the applicant can register for
classes. Applicants whose immunization and/or reference
forms are still pending will be considered for Provisional
Admission. The admission process must be completed by 10th
day of the semester.

Non-Degree Admission:  Applicants who wish to enroll in
adult education or auditing will be considered for Non-Degree
Admission. Financial aid and Assisted Learning services are
not available for Non-Degree Admission students.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Approval has been granted by the United States Department of
Justice for training students from other countries who can
demonstrate proficiency in English. OHCC requires TOEFL
(Test of English as a Foreign Language) results with a
minimum score of 500 for the written test or 173 for the
computer based test.

VETERANS
Oak Hills Christian College has been approved by the
Minnesota State Department of Education for training veterans,
veteran dependents, and veteran widows. Our current status
with the Veterans Administration is NCD.

ADMISSION STANDARDS

Faith in Jesus Christ: Oak Hills Christian College students are required to have faith in Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that ishonoring to God. This is determined by the reference forms and the applicant's personal testimony on the application form.

Academic Ability: Oak Hills Christian College students are
required to have the academic ability to perform at a college
level. This is determined by the ACT score and academic
transcripts verifying high school graduation (or GED
equivalent).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All materials need to be sent to the Admissions Office.

Forms:
1. Application for Admission
2. Immunization Form
3. Pastoral (or Ministry Leader) Reference
4. Personal Reference
Reference forms will be sent by the Admissions Office to the
people listed on the application. These forms must be mailed
directly to the Admissions Office by the person providing the
reference information.

Fees:
1. Application Fee (with Application for Admission)
2. Enrollment Deposit (after acceptance)

Academic Transcripts: Applicants must submit a high school transcript (or GED equivalent) and transcripts from all
academic institutions attended beyond high school.
Preliminary transcripts should be sent during the school year.
Official transcripts need to be sent by the educational
institution directly to OHCC after the school year has con-
cluded. They must include the seal of the institution and verify
the student's high school graduation (or GED equivalent).

ACT Score: An ACT score is required for all applicants with
these exceptions; applicants from outside the USA, applicants who have been out of high school two years or more, and applicants who have earned 24 or more credits from other colleges/post-secondary institutions after high school. SAT scores are also acceptable; contact the Admissions Office for details.
